Liaise with Veterinary Specialists, Hospitalists, Emergency Veterinarians and other specialty nurses on delivering high-standard patient care

Clinical Programme Manager in the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences [Ref. R/253/25]

The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences offers a globally recognised six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) programme, which achieved full accreditation with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC) in 2023. The BVM programme is delivered by a vibrant team of faculty and clinical educators in our two departments, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health. The BVM programme features small cohort sizes (up to 50 students per year) with all teaching conducted in English.

Our veterinary students benefit from exceptional resources and state-of-the-art facilities, including the Clinical Skills Laboratory, Pathobiology Laboratory, Dairy Farm, Surgery and Anaesthesia Suite and Necropsy Suite. During their final two years, BVM students undertake structured clinical rotations at the CityU Veterinary Medical Centre, CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and affiliated partner sites (local and overseas). We are seeking an accomplished veterinary clinician to join our team as Clinical Programme Manager, where you will lead the delivery of our BVM clinical teaching programme, ensuring students develop the skills and confidence to excel as omni-competent veterinarians.

Duties

Support the Dean and Assistant Dean (BVM Teaching & Learning) in overseeing the delivery, assessment and quality assurance of clinical teaching across partner sites;
Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders, including external core placement providers, veterinarians in private practice in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, government veterinarians, the Hong Kong Jockey Club and others;
Organise an annual Partner Practice Conference to provide teaching feedback and continuing professional development to veterinarians in Hong Kong that support the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences through hosting students on extramural studies placements;
Manage the co-ordination and smooth running of core student clinical rotations at partner hospitals and training facilities, aligning with curriculum and learning outcome requirements;
Liaise with software providers to ensure that placement software used by the College is effective, regularly updated and used optimally by team members;
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective management of clinical placements that meet international accreditation standards and conduct annual quality assurance assessments of partner sites to ensure accreditation compliance;
Lead and supervise a team of clinical veterinary educators to deliver high-quality BVM teaching and services intramurally and at core clinical placement sites, ensuring excellence in both veterinary education and clinical practice;
Support clinical teaching staff and rotation supervisors through clear role definition, site integration, and provision of ongoing training and feedback;
Occasional travel is required; and

Requirements

A veterinary degree recognised for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong;
Solid experience in veterinary education, preferably in a clinical teaching environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as spoken and written communication skills in English;
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with colleagues at all levels;

We are looking for a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our friendly team.

Requirements:

F 5 graduate or above, fluent in English and Cantonese
Good communication and problem solving skill, able to work under pressure
Basic computer skill
Self-motivated and willing to learn
Possession of AIRC Cert II or above will be an advantage, but not essential

Our Opening Hour: 10am – 7:30pm

A right candidate will be entitled to have 8 days off per month with monthly attendance allowance and overtime allowance. Salary & benefit are negotiable based on experience and qualification.
