Position: Senior Emergency Veterinary Assistant (ER & Hospital)

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience
Shift: (8 AM - 8 PM)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Senior Emergency Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated Emergency and Hospital department. As part of our team, you will triage emergency cases, assist veterinarians with estimates, perform diagnostics (radiographs, lab work), set up patients in the ICU or inpatient ward, manage client communications, and provide translation support for non-Cantonese speaking veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hospital In charge, monitor operations of ICU and Client communications with inpatient status
• Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards and core values.
• Report patient signalment, problem list, and plan during nursing rounds.
• Understand and classify commonly used medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Perform phlebotomy and physical exams; accurately assess vital signs.
• Assist with anesthesia and monitoring for patients assigned ASA I or II classifications.
• Stay current on CPR guidelines and demonstrate proficiency in designated roles.
• Translate communications for non-Cantonese speaking veterinarians to ensure effective interaction with clients.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experiences working in the field with 2 years working in the hospital environment
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese, good in English (Fluent in English for overseas applicants)
• Self motivated
• Able to work under pressure
• Must have genuine love and compassion for animals
