Position Vacant: Aquatic Animal Veterinarian (Full-time or Part-time)


Job Details

The Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice is seeking an Aquatic Animal Veterinarian to join our team.

You will be part of a CityUHK veterinary team which provides veterinary service to fish farmers in Hong Kong. This is a full-time or part-time appointment for 12 months, with possibility of extension.

Duties

  • Providing veterinary service on aquatic animal cases and assisting in industry workshops;
  • Maintaining medical records, consulting with farmers and advising on treatments;
  • Assisting in teaching veterinary students during clinical rotations and training staff; and
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A DVM, BVM, or equivalent from a HKVSB recognized institution
  • At least 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine is preferred, but we are open to hiring motivated veterinarians with less experience (New graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good record keeping, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Experience with aquatic animal medicine would be an advantage

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
