1. Emergency Veterinarian

Harvest Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital (HVSEH) in Hong Kong is seeking emergency veterinarians to run our bustling 24/7 Emergency department. The successful candidate will work within a brand new, 25,000sq. ft., state-of-the-art specialist referral centre. The emergency department is located on the ground floor with an adjacent intensive care unit (ICU) and specialized isolation wards, the departments are overseen by a Diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care. The purpose for built ICU provides patient with a comfortable environment to rest and recover, providing services for advanced respiratory support in the forms of high-flow oxygen therapy and invasive mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal therapies, and advanced WIFI-enabled monitoring equipment with central monitoring. The specialist services boast the following technologies: a 1.5T GE Signa Explorer MRI, 16-slice GE Discovery PETCT, Newtom 5G XL CBCT, GE 9” OEC Elite II fluoroscopy, digital radiography, and multiple modern ultrasound consoles from GE, Samsung, and Esaote.

We have a dedicated international team of diplomates in anaesthesiology, cardiology, dentistry and oral surgery, emergency and critical care, oncology, and surgery, with additional specialist services currently under recruitment. We have an exclusive focus on specialty and emergency care, with no primary care services within the hospital. We value work-life balance, collaboration, and ethics in our facility. The role will not require being on call or having on-call responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a team of veterinary specialists to provide excellent patient care.
  • Capability of working in a fast-paced practice.
  • Ability to effectively triage and multitask many multi-morbid patients.
  • Participate in HVSEH's annual continuing education symposium.

Job Requirements

  • A Degree of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree in excellent standing.
  • Emergency experience and/or a 1- year rotating internship is desirable, but not required.
  • RECOVER ® Certification is a plus.
  • Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions during stressful circumstances.
  • A commitment to practicing evidence-based medicine and exceptional patient care.
  • Participate in HVSEH's annual continuing education symposium.
  • Confidence in emergency procedures and surgeries (GDV, UO, dystocia... etc.).
  • Willingness to learn from a team of dedicated Specialists.
  • Intake after-hours referral cases for specialist services.
  • Day/night shifts (on public holidays and weekends) on roster basis.

2. Veterinary Radiologist

Harvest Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital (HVSEH) in Hong Kong is seeking a board-certified radiologist to lead our bustling diagnostic imaging service. The successful candidate will work in a brand new, state-of-the-art specialist referral centre with 1.5T GE Signa Explorer MRI, 16-slice GE Discovery PET-CT, Newtom 5G XL CBCT, GE 9” OEC Elite II fluoroscopy, digital radiography, and multiple modern ultrasound consoles from GE, Samsung, and Esaote.   • Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and reporting services in a referral hospital setting.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of veterinary specialists to provide excellent patient care.
  • Provide training and supervision to diagnostic imaging department staff.
  • Participate in HVSEH's annual continuing education symposium.

Job Requirements:

  • Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Radiology, the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, or equivalent credential. Board-eligible candidates who intend to sit for the certifying examination will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. Customer Service Officer

We have a strong focus on fear free patient care with a commitment to the community, and pride ourselves on excellent customer service and client education.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the front desk, answer telephone enquiries, schedule appointments, and handle client communications.
  • Keep a smooth running of the clinic and give our clients and guests an elevated experience.
  • Excellent general computer literacy and experience using EzyVet.
  • Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and maintain financial records accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with the veterinary team to ensure coordinated and efficient workflow.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge in animal health care or relevant working experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese.
  • Responsible, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Genuine love and respect for animals.
  • Day/night shifts (on public holidays and weekends), 4 working days per week on roster basis.
