Position Vacant: Full Time Veterinary Surgeon / Experienced Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Assistant

Heung Wo Animal Medical Centre is a well-equipped small animal practice providing general and specialty care in Tsuen Wan, New Territories. We have over 8 consultation rooms, a stand-alone surgery centre, a specialised ophthalmic surgery room and an imaging centre at our site. Our clinic is equipped with top-class equipment, like CT machine, digital X-ray and ultrasound machines to facilitate examination. Advanced surgical machineries, like CO2 laser, dental X-ray, endoscope (rigid and flexible), comprehensive orthopedic equipment, ophthalmic operating microscope, phacoemulsification machine and LigaSure™ are also available.

We have a vibrant team of over 8 veterinarians and 45 assistants. Specialist (DABVP) and senior veterinarians with Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) membership will provide guidance to junior veterinarians to pursue advanced qualification. Apart from western medicine, 2 vets on our team are Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) and 1 of them is a Certified Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) Practitioner. We value knowledge as much as passion. Therefore, we highly encourage our team members to expose themselves to different learning opportunities.

Veterinary Surgeon (Full time)

Requirement:

  • HKVSB registered
  • Fresh and new graduates are welcome
  • Passionate and caring for animal
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to commit to continuing education

Experienced Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Assistant

  • Assists veterinarian in consultations and surgeries
  • Holistic care to the patient
  • Handle in-house laboratory tests and assist taking x-ray
  • Administer medication as directed by the veterinarian
  • Communicate between clients, veterinarian and other teammates
  • Administrative work

Requirement:

Veterinary Assistant

  • Form 6 graduate or above
  • Be able to work independently, be enthusiastic and compassionate for animals
  • Able to work under stress and mature
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer-oriented communication
  • Fluent in Cantonese +/- English (preferred)

Experienced Veterinary Nurse

  • At least 3 years relevant working experience is preferred
  • Certificate in veterinary nursing / relevant studies would be an advantage

  • Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification ($15,000 - $30,000)
