Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (HK) is now seeking for a cheerful, energetic and dedicated animal loving person to fill the following position: -

Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Nurse


Responsibilities:

  • To assist the veterinary surgeons with the day-to-day operation of veterinary hospital and clinic, including translating for veterinary surgeons during the consultation, counting and dispensing medications, restraining animals for consultation, medicating and taking care of the hospitalized animals etc.
  • To be responsible for the daily cleaning and periodic maintenance of all equipment used by the Veterinary Department
  • To reply and keep a record of all calls directed from the hotline, and contact the duty veterinary surgeons
  • To participate in SPCA public events when required
  • To carry out other duties assigned by Manager of Veterinary Nursing Division

Requirements:

  • A good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
  • Experience in handling animals (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with outgoing and enthusiastic personality
  • A good team player and be able to work under pressure
  • Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals
