- Reporting
to Hospital Nursing Manager, be a team player
to assist in the overall smooth running of the
veterinary clinic and the hospital;
- Assist
veterinary surgeons with consultations, nursing
hospital patients, handle laboratory machines,
take x-rays, assist in surgery, ultrasound,
endoscope care. Setting up and maintaining IV
fluids, drug handling and dispensing;
- Assist
manager in stock taking and inventory controls;
- Assist
in reception, coordinate and administer consultation
booking / appointments;
- Answer
telephone calls promptly and politely and take
messages accurately; and
- Greet
visitors in professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Genuine
care for animals; love animal, got a kind heart;
- Good
telephone manner, strong communication and interpersonal
skills;
- Form
7 or above;
- With
over 2 years working experience in related job
duties is highly preferable;
- Fluent
in spoken English & Cantonese;
- Cheerful,
easy-going, self-motivated, detail-oriented,
sense of responsibility;
- Candidates
with less working experience will be considered
for the post of trainee veterinary assistant;
- Working
location: North Point (Immediate availability)

interpersonal and communication skills.

are very pleased to announce the official launch
of our animal diagnostic PCR tests as from the
1 March 2010. Our partner for this new molecular
service is the highly regarded Department of Microbiology
at the Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong
Kong. Professor Yuen Kwok Yung and his team is
well known for their expertise in molecular testing,
in animals as well as in humans, and is especially
known for discovering the SARS virus.
All
the PCR work will be performed under the direct
supervision of Professor Yuen, our veterinary
pathologist Dr. Janet Hui and myself. In addition
to offering a high quality, reliable molecular
diagnostic service, this collaboration will enable
the collection of a more comprehensive set of
genomic information of common animal pathogens
in Hong Kong.
