The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience and will ideally have completed some formal veterinary nursing education. For the right person, this role could develop into a supervisory or managerial position.

All staff employed by East Island Animal Hospital will take part in extensive training. Individuals who are motivated and show a willingness to learn will be encouraged to develop their career to its full potential.

We offer a 5-day week, performance related bonus system and 10 days annual leave per year. Salary range between $12,000HKD - $15,000HKD per month depending on experience.

Dear Vets,

We are very pleased to announce the official launch of our animal diagnostic PCR tests as from the 1 March 2010. Our partner for this new molecular service is the highly regarded Department of Microbiology at the Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong. Professor Yuen Kwok Yung and his team is well known for their expertise in molecular testing, in animals as well as in humans, and is especially known for discovering the SARS virus.

All the PCR work will be performed under the direct supervision of Professor Yuen, our veterinary pathologist Dr. Janet Hui and myself. In addition to offering a high quality, reliable molecular diagnostic service, this collaboration will enable the collection of a more comprehensive set of genomic information of common animal pathogens in Hong Kong.
