We are looking for some dedicated veterinary professionals to join our rapidly growing veterinary hospital. New Graduates are welcome to apply.

1. Specialist Positions

CityU VMC specialty services is growing and has new positions for Board Certified (or residency trained) specialists including:

  • Specialist, Veterinary Surgery (full time/locum)
  • Specialist, Veterinary Oncology
  • Specialist, Veterinary Internal Medicine
  • Specialist, Veterinary Ophthalmologist
  • Specialist, Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging
  • Specialist, Veterinary Neurology

2. Primary Care Veterinarian

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVSc)
  • Working within a team of 12 veterinarians providing patient care for a diverse and challenging caseload. Strong surgical skillsets are essential

3. Emergency Veterinarian

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVSc)
  • Working within a team of 12-14 veterinarians to provide 24/7 emergency care
  • 4 day on/4days off roster with equal evening coverage. Strong surgical skills are essential

4. Night Shift Hospitalist Veterinarian

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVSc)
  • The assessment of hospitalized patients is built on the problem-based clinical assessment
  • Work collaboratively with the existing Primary Care, Emergency and Specialty services and ensure support for hospitalized patients and ER overflow patients. Strong surgical skills are essential

5. Veterinary Internship (Junior Veterinarian)

CityU Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC) internship program is designed to provide recently graduated veterinarians additional knowledge and clinical experience while advancing their professional skillsets. VMC offers a rotating internship through specialty, 24/7 emergency and primary care services.

Interns will rotate over a course of a year through multiple services at VMC. Reporting to the Department head(s), Interns will participate in case management across the various services and all cases will be discussed with the supervising veterinarians. The interns will assume increasing case management, client communication, and responsibilities throughout the year.

State-of-the-Art Facilities: VMC is equipped with 22 consultation rooms, 9 surgical theatre suites with advanced medical imaging and diagnostic capabilities include a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64 slice CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, color doppler echocardiography, intra-operative fluoroscopy and endoscopy. The Centre includes a dedicated intensive care unit (ICU), a dentistry suite, a cardiology suite, and a separate access to 24/7 emergency services. The CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory complements the VMC clinical needs by providing advance diagnostic services in Hong Kong.

VMC Offers
