If you're looking for a rewarding job with a great work-life balance, awesome team spirit and fantastic learning environment... then the SPCA (Hong Kong) might just be the place for you!
Celebrating its Centenary in 2021, The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (HK) is one of Asia's leading animal welfare organisations with seven income generating private clinics, a welfare spay-neuter clinic and two mobile vehicles.
SPCA veterinary surgeons enjoy an excellent work-life balance; generous annual leave, a 5-day week, a 6pm finish, and very limited work on Sundays and Public Holidays (emergency cover and welfare only). Allowing for plenty of time off to relax and recharge, and to enjoy and pursue the finer things in life!
We are looking for a fun-loving, highly motivated surgeon to join our large, enthusiastic and diverse team in a busy multi-centre practice, where professional development and specialisation is encouraged and supported through mentorship, CPD leave, and both internal and external training. Facilities include a brand new 24-hour hospital, in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital and dental radiography, ultrasonography, ECG, endoscopy and modern surgical suites. Future expansion plans (in 2022) include in-house CT and MRI facilities.
In addition to a busy and diverse case load, veterinary surgeons provide expertise and support for SPCA welfare initiatives - including animal adoption, spay/neuter programmers and an assisted veterinary care programmer for those in need. Giving our veterinary surgeons chance to not only help owned pets but also to improve the quality of life for those less fortunate animals.
The successful candidate would be based at our Hong Kong hospital overseeing the running of our surgery floor. Surgical caseloads are extremely high with a large variety of interesting procedures and injuries. The job is perfect for a confident and skilled surgeon wishing to further hone their skills.
This vacancy has an attractive remuneration package including: salary to scale, CPD leave, low taxation rates (max. 17%), accommodation, health insurance, professional indemnity insurance, provident fund contributions, assistance with practicing certificates and a generous leave allowance.
All information collected is for recruitment purpose only. Please submit your full resume to The Human Resources Manager, SPCA (HK), 5 Wan Shing Street, Wanchai, Hong Kong or e-mail to email@example.com.
